Surgery is an operative area of medicine focusing on the alleviation of symptoms via invasive procedures. It deals with the prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of diseases, injuries and malformations in the form of surgical treatment. This includes the reconstructive and transplant surgery.


In order to become a specialist in surgery, the doctor has to be trained for at least 72 months after medical school.
